Spotlight: March Features More Than Its Share of Music and a Streetcar Named Desire

Spring in New Orleans heralds anticipation of several annual events: the Jazz Fest, Spring Fiesta and the Crescent City Classic.

But a newly created music contest for up-and-coming local musicians is the newest event looked forward to by New Orleanians. In its second year, Crunch Tators Jazz Search ‘89 will be hosted by Audubon Zoo and is sponsored by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The event promises to be an exciting addition to the New Orleans spring calendar.
