Sidney Noel “Morgus” Rideau (1929-2020)

Sidney Noel Rideau, best known to thousands of New Orleans baby-boomers as Dr. Morgus, the well-meaning, colorful genius/mad scientist of the higher order, who hosted B-rated horror movies every Saturday night on local television for better part of three decades, died peacefully at a Northshore retirement community on August 27. He was 90.
