"You'd be surprised," Harry Connick, Jr. told interviewer Camille Barker ten years ago when asked about his fans. "I get a lot of letters from people who like the music I play, and I'd say about 90 percent of those letters are from girls from 12 to 18. And that's really inspiring to me because it looks as though they don't care all that much about trends. And I'm not exactly a household word yet. Basically, I think girls and women just like to be sung to ... that never goes out of style."
