Justin Wilson

1914-2001

 

Justin Wilson, humorist, chef, author, and all-around ambassador for the State of Louisiana, died September 5, 2001, of heart failure in Baton Rouge. He was 87. Wilson, who was internationally known for his downhome humor and television cooking programs, was born April 24, 1914, at Roseland, Louisiana. Wilson grew up in Tangipahoa Parish (definitely not Cajun country) but often heard French as a youngster spoken by his Cajun mother, Olivett Toadvin Wils...
