John Gros: With a Little Help From His Friends

In mid-August John Gros was preparing to drop his first solo album in 12 years, River’s on Fire, when he got the call. His father Don’s Baton Rouge house had fallen victim to the floodwaters inundating Louisiana. Despite the crucial business at hand, Gros knew what he had to do. Weeks later he was still commuting from New Orleans to Baton Rouge to work on gutting his dad’s house, taking the time in between to launch his latest project.
