Jazz Fest 2004 Redux

The 35th annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival was, unfortunately, marred by forces of God and man. Precipitation drenched participants and forced the cancellation of an entire day. After witnessing and dancing to Fredy Omar’s set of Latin music, Daniel Breaux, a perennial Jazz Fest attendee, was murdered six blocks from the festival’s gates. But those forces didn’t stop the music, food and fun. Breaux would have wanted it that way.
