A lot of people would argue that South Louisiana is not only the cradle of jazz, but the cradle of rock ‘n’ roll as well. Li’l Band O’ Gold’s C.C. Adcock is one of them. “Sam Phillips, Cosimo Matassa and Jay Miller, that’s the holy trinity as far as I’m concerned. It’s funny that rock ‘n’ roll is so overlooked here and that when people do play rock ‘n’ roll they think they have to do it L.A. style or New York style or whatever the trend is, when those guys wouldn’t be doing what they’re doing...
