The Lion’s Den could only exist in New Orleans. It's an unassuming neighborhood bar complete with a television tuned to Judge Judy, a few regulars tuned to their video poker machines, and Easter decorations hanging with beer banners from the ceiling.

Only the low stage with a foil "Irma" in front of a mike indicates that the Lion's Den is Irma Thomas' musical home....
