Blues artist Tab Benoit was recently awarded the 2009 Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year for his work and advocacy for the state’s wetlands. On February 27, the awards banquet and the Louisiana Wildlife Federation’s 71st Convention were held at the Cypress Bend Resort in honor of Benoit.
