After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the French Quarter Festival is returning April 21-24. Not only is the music schedule packed with daily events, but there will be plenty to eat while you’re dancing the day away in the Vieux Carré. Here are a few examples of the many food offerings at the fest this year.
DEBUTING IN 2022:
New Orleans Ice Cream: Ice cream po-boys, a stuffed ice cream beignet (Location: Riverfront)
Addis Nola: Sweet Awaze chicken legs, lentil sambusa, collard green sambusa (Location: Jazz Museum)
Paella Nola: Traditional and vegetarian paella (Location: Jackson Square)
Armantine Seafood and Spirits: Seafood pasta (penne pasta with sauteed shrimp and crawfish in a creamy parmesan sauce), two boudin egg rolls, fried chicken and French toast bites with maple syrup and crystal beurre blanc sauce with powdered sugar (Location: Jackson Square)
Nola Crawfish King Seafood and BBQ Catering: Whole hog platter with a choice of side and bread, crawfish mac ’n’ cheese, chicken and sausage jambalaya (Location: Jazz Museum)
Beaucoup Eats: Dirty gumbo (seafood gumbo topped with dirty rice), Voodoo vegan po-boy, Jerk chicken pasta (Location: Riverfront/Canal Plaza)

Voleo’s Seafood Restaurant: Crabmeat boudin balls with Creole mustard sauce, crawfish enchilada with green chili meat sauce, shrimp remoulade, smothered rabbit po-boy with Cajun slaw (Location: Jax Lot)

TJ Gourmet: Alligator sausage kabob with zydeco sauce, Louisiana blue crab cakes over spring mix and remoulade, original crawfish bread (Location: Riverfront Palm Lawn)
