The New Orleans Vendy Awards—a competition for local food trucks—will be back for its second installment on Thursday, April 3 at the French Market, 7-10:30 p.m.

Last year, Foodie Call won both the juried Vendy Cup and the People’s Choice award and they’re now back to out-food eight competitors: Crepes a la Cart, Empanada Intifada, Food Drunk, Frencheeze, Imperial Woodpecker Sno-Balls, La Cocinita, Miss Linda the Ya-Ka-Mein Lady and the Nola Truck (with chef Nigel P. Henderson, who got his start at Dooky Chase’s.)

Fat Falafel, my personal favorite last year, won’t be back, but I’ll likely enjoy a cardamom cream sno-ball.
