The intense heat of late has many of us spending more time indoors. While catching up on paperwork, cleaning, and exercising for a change, I have some of my favorite albums spinning in the background. Locals of New Orleans and the surrounding area as well as folks educated in good music the world over should recognize the five artists of this month’s installment. I hope that you enjoy another walk down memory lane compliments of some fine vintage vinyl from Louisiana.
This Is Why: Paramore, live, after a five-year hiatus

It was a night of jumping, screaming, and confetti as frontwoman Hayley Williams danced across the stage alongside bandmates Taylor York and Zac Farro. Vintage Vinyl Treasures (Episode 28)
My search and rescue efforts for vintage vinyl for the months of May and June were thoroughly enjoyable. These five acquisitions, listed in order of discovery, reach way back in the day and are well off today’s proverbial beaten path. Each one is considered a definite keeper in the eyes of vinyl aficionados. I found the first two albums below in Old Arabi at “The Lighthouse” record store. The remaining three were a Father’s Day gift from my favorite daughter who took me out in the country for a “barnstormer” event advertised as the “10,000 Record Album Sale.”
