Dining Out: Sun Chong
Larry Morrow refers to himself as a “serial entrepreneur.” Since 2018, he has opened a Cajun and Korean restaurant Morrow’s; Treehouse, an indoor-outdoor cocktail lounge; and Monday, a restaurant that features all-day happy hour on, you guessed it, Mondays.
Dining Out: Brasa Churrasqueria
Brasa Churrasqueria is a South American steakhouse from owners Chef Edgar Caro and restaurateur Antonio Mata. For six years, they have brought their delicious skills to Metairie, and now Brasa is expanding to Canal Place in the spot that once housed Morton’s Steakhouse.
Dining Out: King Brasserie and Bar
King Brasserie and Bar opened at the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot in March 2023. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner seven days a week and lunch three days a week.
Dining Out: Crabby Jack’s
Since 2002 Crabby Jack’s has been serving tasty po-boys, fried chicken, and seafood platters. The restaurant has become a local institution and aims to serve the freshest seafood at the most affordable prices.
Dining Out: Three Muses
Since 2010, Three Muses, 536 Frenchmen Street, has delighted audiences and diners with its dinner and show combination. The restaurant hosts performances and serves a menu inspired by owner Miss Sophie Lee’s Korean roots.
Dining Out: Seaworthy
Seaworthy, the seafood restaurant and oyster bar in the Ace Hotel, 630 Carondelet Street, opened in 2016 and quickly made a name for itself for its upscale atmosphere and oyster selection. Now, the restaurant is undergoing a renaissance with a new executive chef and exciting plans on the horizon.
Dining Out: MaMou
In November, MaMou, a French restaurant with a Creole flair, opened its doors at 942 N. Rampart Street. Owner and Chef Tom Branighan brings charm and touches to the menu that is meant to be a reflection of the French cuisine that influences so much local fare and a tribute to his great-grandmother, who he watched cooking when he was a child.

3rd Block Depot offers a menu of Creole cuisine from Chef Nick Ocheltree in a space that was formerly home to SoBou.

Couvant is the French restaurant at the Eliza Jane Hotel that serves breakfast, dinner, and weekend brunch with Chef Ryan Pearson at its helm.
