Rising New Orleans soul / spoken word band, Tank & The Bangas seem to be on the radar more and more lately. A mysterious prelude video to a music video, “The Fight“ keeps popping up here and there, and now we hear that they’ll be performing as a feature at this Saturday’s “Ghost In The Machine” show at VASO Ultra Lounge. Appropriately scheduled during Women’s History Month, “Ghost In The Machine” is actually the second annual showcase highlighting “the women of Frenchmen Street.”
The event will be hosted by Kelder Summers and will also feature The Original Pinettes Brass Band, Caryn Green, Nikki Spence, Mystique, Kelly Love Jones, Jolly, Tonya Boyd Cannon, DJ Mookie and more. We might just have to check out this set to see what “ghosts” move us! Doors are at 6:00 p.m. this Saturday, March 23. with performances until late. VASO is located at 500 Frenchmen Street.
