In early announcements of categories not included in the Grammy telecast, Rebirth Brass Band has captured its first-ever Grammy Award for Rebirth of New Orleans as Best Regional Roots Music Album. The band competed against Louisiana artists C. J. Chenier’s Can’t Sit Down and Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys’ Grand Isle.
