Voodoo Experience producer Rehage Entertainment has been tapped to produce “A Night to Make It Right,” a gala fundraiser for Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation. The gala will take place March 10 at the Hyatt Regency and will raise money to complete 150 environmentally friendly homes in the Lower Ninth Ward. Ellen DeGeneres will host the gala, which will include a dinner prepared by Chefs John Besh, Emeril Lagasse and a host of celebrity chefs, and performances by Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Irvin Mayfield, and the Soul Rebels. The after party will be hosted by comedian Aziz Anzari and will include performances by Kanye West, Seal and more.
The gala isn’t Rehage’s first collaboration with Make It Right. Rehage Entertainment and Pitt produced The Pink House Project in 2007 with production designer Stefan Beese to dramatize the loss in the Lower Ninth Ward.
