The 29th annual New Orleans Film Society wrapped up on October 25 with A Tuba to Cuba and performances from Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Muevelo. That film, directed by T.G. Herrington and Danny Clinch, was named Audience Award Winners in the category of Louisiana Feature (Documentary). However, it tied with another local production, Lily Keber’s Buckjumping (Zac Manuel took home the Best Cinematography Prize).

Those two were not the only Louisiana-based works to take home winning films. This Taco Truck Kills Fascists, directed by Rodrigo Dorfman, was named Best Louisiana Feature. Zandashe Brown’s Blood Runs Down was named Best Louisiana Short and Bron Moyi took home the Best Cinematography Prize for Wings.
