The 8th annual Gentilly Fest will be bringing local music acts and live gospel as well as other attractions to the Ponchartrain Park playground on October 9th, 10th and 11th.
Music headliners on the festival’s main stage include James Andrews on Friday, local vocalists Sharon Martin, Leah Chase and Germaine Bazzle with Carl LeBlanc’s Band, Tank and the Bangas on Saturday, Jamey St. Pierre and the Honeycreepers and the Rebirth Brass Band on Sunday.
A Gospel Tent will welcome performances by local choirs from throughout the city. Choirs featured include First Grace United, the Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel, the Abundant Life Tabernacle Choir and the Zion Harmonizers.
The festival will also feature food from local vendors, arts and crafts, a medical tent offering free medical screenings and a kid’s space with a video gaming center, face painting, rock climbing, storytelling and other activities.
