UPDATE: Tickets for the David Byrne show taking place on Monday, October 8, 2018 will no longer go on sale today, Friday, May 18. More information regarding the new on-sale date and time will be made available soon.
Easily one of the highlights of Jazz Fest 2018, David Byrne has just announced his return to New Orleans. On Monday, October 8, The American Utopia Tour will stop at the Saenger Theatre.
His massive tour is in support of his latest album, American Utopia, which arrived in March on Todomundo/Nonesuch Records. The former Talking Heads singer will be joined by a 12-piece band in a choreographed performance he’s called “the most ambitious show I’ve done since the shows that were filmed for Stop Making Sense.” American Utopia‘s lead single is the Brian Eno co-written “Everybody’s Coming To My House,” which features TTY, Happa, Isaiah Barr Leader of the Onyx Collective, Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never), Mercury Prize winner Sampha and others.
Tickets for David Byrne’s October 8 performance in New Orleans go on sale this Friday, May 18, on Ticketmaster.com. There are no pre-sale options.
