This summer we interviewed cellist Ben Sollee before his first-ever club gig in New Orleans. Tonight, he returns for another show, this time at Preservation Hall. In the interim, he’s been gathering plenty of press and buzz for his indie/folk/bluegrass/classical/pop blend. You can get a taste of that unique sound in the NPR Tiny Desk Concert video above.

Tonight’s show marks the kickoff of a special tour for Sollee. Having driven to New Orleans in a van, Sollee and the rest of his band will spend the rest of the tour traveling via bicycle only, instruments and all in tow. Doors open at Preservation Hall at 10 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available online.
