Saturday night, the 6t’9 Social Aid & Pleasure Club held its seventh-annual halloween parade with a roster of participants that included the Skinz and Bonez, Noisician Coalition, Krewe of Chewbacchus, Big Chief Victor Harris, Pair-a-Dice Tumblers, Mr. Okra, the Pony Girls, Ed Buckner and his Original Big Seven SAPC, Ronald Lewis, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Charter High School Marching Band and Drill Team, Benjamin Franklin Elementary Mathematics and Science School Band, and the U.S. Navy Band.
The parade started on St. Claude/Henriette Delille Street and went along Esplanade Avenue, Frenchmen Street, and St. Claude Avenue on its way into the Bywater and St. Roch neighborhoods, concluding at a ball featuring Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes. The parade’s theme this year was “End Times Marches On.”
