The artist Swoon has installed a major piece, “Thalassa,” in the front hall of New Orleans Museum of Art. Here’s a video on the making and installation of the piece, which will be on display until September 25.
Swoon is also involved in a local project titled, “Dithyrambalina,” which involves building a musical house in the Bywater out of a broken-down Creole cottage. A Kickstarter campaign has been started to raise money for the project; here’s a video explaining it:
