Tonight the Howlin Wolf hosts New Orleans’ regional qualifier for the international DMC DJ competition. DJs will face off in a battle of scratching, beat juggling, showmanship, creativity and more, judged by former U.S. DMC champion DJ Swamp (of Cleveland, not the bayou) and New York’s DJ Fatfingaz. Both judges will also perform showcases. The competition starts at 10 p.m., tickets are $20 at the door, $10 in advance. The winner of the battle will go to the U.S. finals in New York in August.
