The cast and crew of the HBO series Treme will be on hand this Saturday, February 12 to host the 2nd annual “My Darlin’ New Orleans” Auction and Celebrity Gala at Generations Hall.
The event will feature both a live and silent auction; food prepared by local chefs from Ralph’s on the Park, Butcher, and Bayona; local music; and the opportunity to meet the actors, crew and producers of Treme, including Khandi Alexander (Ladonna Batiste-Williams), Melissa Leo (Toni Bernette), Clarke Peters (Albert Lambreaux), David Morse (Lieutenant Terry Colson), Wendell Pierce (Antoine Batiste), and Michiel Huisman (Sonny).
Musical performers include the Pfister Sisters, John Boutte, Tom McDermott, Matt Perrine, Washboard Chaz, Aurora Nealand, Glen David Andrews, Paul Sanchez, and the Roots of Music Marching Crusaders.
Can’t make it on Saturday night? You can still help out and get in on some of the action in the ongoing online auction, which currently includes items like a Treme poster autographed by the cast or jackets and hoodies worn by the show’s crew.
The auctions and ticket prices will go to benefit The Roots of Music and the New Orleans Musician’s Clinic and Assistance Foundation, nonprofit organizations for the promotion of music education and the health of our city’s musicians.
