Amongst other out-of-town performers in the lineup at Jazz Fest this year, they’ll be joining Mumford & Sons, Lauryn Hill, Tom Jones, Jeff Beck, Sonny Rollins, John Legend & The Roots, The Avett Brothers, Cyndi Lauper, Wyclef Jean, Alejandro Sanz, Jason Mraz, Maze feat. Frankie Beverly, Lupe Fiasco, Arlo Guthrie, Jamey Johnson, Fantasia, Kenny G, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Decemberists, Gregg Allman Blues Band, Vickie Winans, Lucinda Williams, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Robert Cray, Bobby Blue Bland, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Edie Brickell, Keb’ Mo’, Rance Allen, Ahmad Jamal, Fourplay, Ricky Skaggs, Amos Lee, Jesse Winchester, Michelle Shocked, Punch Brothers, Ron Carter Trio, Fisk Jubilee Singers, Ivan Lins, Charlie Musselwhite, and Maceo Parker with guest Pee Wee Ellis.

Also of note is the emphasis placed this year on Haitian artists, from Haitian aid organizer (and attempted Presidential nominee) Wyclef Jean to classic groups Tabou Combo, RAM and Boukman Eksperyans.

The usual wide spectrum of New Orleans and Louisiana bands, Mardi Gras indians and social aid & pleasure clubs will of course be at Jazz Fest this year as well. Notably, the final Sunday, May 8, will host a farewell to the Radiators, who have closed the Gentilly Stage at Jazz Fest for years.
